On July 30, Dr. Ryan Parr and his research team from Lakehead University reported that they, using improved technology, had positively identified the child as that of one-and-a-half-year-old Sidney Leslie Goodwin (born September 9, 1910) from England. An apology has been issued to the family of Eino Panula. (No copyright infringement intended. All material property of Engel Brothers Media Productions, Thirteen / WNET New York, and PBS.)
